As I Began to Love Myself

As I began to love myself I found that anguish and emotional suffering are only warning signs that I was living against my own truth. Today, I know, this is “AUTHENTICITY”. As I began to love myself I understood how much it can offend somebody. As I try to force my desires on this person, even though I knew the time was not right and the person was not ready for it, and even though this person was me. Today I call it “RESPECT”. As I began to love myself I stopped craving for a different life, and I could see that everything that surrounded me was inviting me to grow.

Sexuality is a topic often see as provocative and many times as taboo. Why is that?  We are often bombarded with messages in the media about sex….commercials created with scantily clad women in the hopes this will seduce a potential buyer into buying their product. hello lovely ones today’s blog has been inspired by a moment that I witnessed last evening while watching So You Think You Can Dance!  for those of you who may not be aware of the premise of the show, it provides an opportunity for youth to show off their dancing skills and hopefuly make it to the top 20 …then the top 10 on the show. Many of us have had some challenges graciously accepting our bodies because we feel on some level that it needs to look a certain way or be a certain size. Recently , at a cocktail party where we were celebrating 9 amazing women who were finalist in the Women Business Network’s Business of the Year awards, I witnessed a touching moment.
